Czech healthcare in relation to doctors in hospitals Kristýna Kadlecová Abstract In recent decades, researches focused on doctors attend to the fact that the "unhappy doctors" became a worldwide phenomenon. In the Czech Republic dissatisfaction was publicly revealed in connection with the strike of doctors. The problem that is amplified after transformation are poorly thought out, unilaterally oriented changes in the organizational arrangements that have an impact on hospitals and by extension, as well as a physician. Doctors perform the economic and managerial role in addition to medical one. The key issue is how physicians perceive these pressures and how it affects their working conditions. The aim of this research work is discontent of contemporary Czech doctors working in hospital, i.e. the causes of conflict between their expectations and reality of their labor and other conditions, as developed in the last 20 years, and especially in the last 2 years when there was a radicalization of representation of interests of hospital doctors in the country. In the empirical part is used qualitative research method - semi-structured interviews with physicians. Based on the research, we can observe a situation which devalues the profession of doctor and patient is also affected, which leads into other problems....
Harmonization of Family and Professional Life of Female Doctors in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the harmonization of family and professional life of female doctors in the Czech Republic. The topic is explored through a gender perspective. The aim of the thesis is to determine how women doctors feel during their study years and subsequently during their professional life, whether they have ever encountered gender discrimination, how female doctors manage to reconcile their family and professional life, and what obstacles they are faced with in such a demanding profession. The thesis describes the medical profession and its genderalization, family and parenthood, the public and private spheres, the harmonization of family and professional life, and what strategies can be used for its reconciliation. The methodological approach is qualitative with a research design of a case study. To answer the research questions, semi-structured interviews with female doctors who are working in hospitals and have at least one child under the age of 13 (including) were conducted. Palliative Care Confronted with Euthanasia and Consequent Meaning of Social Work

The study deals with fundamental issue of palliative care which is defined as active and complete care of the patient with sickness unresponsive to curative care, it shows the possibilities of palliative care and its ways to achieve the most possible quality of patient´s and his family´s life. The ideal is to relieve symptoms such as physical pain, psychical, social and the spiritual one also. The study focuses mainly on the mission and the tasks of medical profession as well as on the social work during the care of uncurable patient and of his family. There are some reflexions about dying and death in the first chapter, and in that context it´s not possible to avoid the problematic of euthanasia which has as many fervent proponents as opponents. The fourth chapter deals with this ethic dilemma. The meaning of social work in palliative care emerged from the confrontation of the euthanasia with the palliative care is treated in the fifth chapter.
